Hello my name is Kaitlyn, and I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since January 2018. Since beginning my career I have primarily worked in multidisciplinary clinics alongside other RMT’s; physiotherapists; chiropractors; osteopaths, and Pilates instructors. I have found these experiences quite helpful in growing my skills, and knowledge to better assist my patients.
I graduated in 2017 from the Massage Therapy Program at Humber College. Through my program I gained the experience of working in specific off campus placements in the Toronto area that I found very helpful in my career. These of which included: children athletes; pregnancy and infants; people with chronic illnesses; palliative care; mental health and addictions; acquired brain injuries.
As of lately today most patients I have experience chronic pain; mobility issues; whiplash; concussion; osteopenia/osteoporosis; repetitive strain injuries, and of course stress/anxiety issues. I have seen many different ailments of the musculoskeletal system, and I have adapted different ways to apply massage to best help my patients.
I have taken the time to learn how to perform both static, and dynamic cupping massage; indie head massage, and hot stone massage. I am incredibly excited to offer these therapeutic modalities to my patients, because they truly do help people.
When I am not working you will either find me outside walking my dogs Franklin, and Trixie, or out in the garden reading a book. During the colder months I like to crochet, and read to pass the time. I stay active by walking my dogs, and doing Pilates during the week. Yes, I highly recommend Pilates it is a great way to exercise when you have chronic pain, or suffer from old injuries.
